Explain Motion Practice

One of the most effective and necessary elements of presenting a strong defense at trial is to pre-empt the State from offering material that is irrelevant, unfairly prejudicial, and/or inadmissible for some other evidentiary reason, by filing pre-trial motions and motions in limine asking to preclude evidence.

The Nolan Law Firm recognizes the importance of serious motion practice, not only for trial purposes, but also due to the potential to encourage the State to negotiate a better plea in cases where the defendant does not want to proceed to trial.  We never file “form” motions or discount how effectively a well researched and litigated written motion can help a case.Never underestimate the power of the written word!

The Nolan Law Firm is committed to presenting your defense in every format available.  Your defense is prepared and presented throughout the case in writing as well as during oral argument at court hearings.
